Table 3.7 compares the energy per information bit required to decode the (2048, 1707) polar code. The SIMD-int8 implementation of our unrolled decoder is compared with that of the implementation in [32]. The former uses an Intel Core i7-4770S clocked at 3.1 GHz. The latter uses an Intel Core i7-4960HQ clocked at 3.6 GHz with Turbo enabled. The results for the ARM Cortex A9 embedded processor and NVIDIA Tesla K20c GPU are also included for comparison.
